Flu Vaccine

The Following letter and link has come from the HSE.

Flu Vaccine Leaflet

Once again it is that time of year when we are asking you to encourage parents to protect their children from Flu by bringing their children for the Flu vaccine. The Nasal Flu vaccine is now available for children aged 2-17 years of age. It can be accessed FREE at participating GPs or Pharmacies. It was children who were most affected by Flu in the southern hemisphere this season so we are hoping to have children well in Ireland. Flu is now circulating in our communities. The Nasal Flu Vaccine is recommended by the National Immunisation Advisory Committee to help prevent Flu in children. It will also help protect others, like siblings, parents, grandparents and those who are vulnerable. Please visit www.hse.ie/flu where you can find out more about the FREE Nasal Flu Vaccine for children/young people and also other clinically ‘At Risk’ groups. If you have any further queries in relation to the Flu Vaccine, you can contact the Community Healthcare Cavan Donegal Leitrim Monaghan Sligo (CH CDLMS) Flu Lead; Yvette.Burns@hse.ie
Thank you again for your ongoing support
With best wishes
