Ahead of the special Mass of Thanksgiving and in honour of the St. Louis Sisters and the St. Louis School Community, we created a special historical timeline of the St. Louis presence in Monaghan from 1842 to 2025. Shauna Connolly (teacher) and Kevin Clerkin (caretaker) sourced the pictures and data, designed and mounted it on an original Blackboard from this 1964 building. We are all proud of their creation and our association with St. louis.

Today, our school will be represented at the Mass of Thanksgiving. During the entrance procession, Dr Mc Carroll will carry the Belgian flag, and Daithí Murray, one of the Senior Infant children, the grandson of our past Deputy Principal, Breda Murray, and son of Leanne Peoples, one of our current First Class teachers, will carry the Nigerian flag.

The St. Louis Sisters warmly invite our school community to attend the Mass of Thanksgiving in St Macartan’s Cathedral at 3pm today, 2nd of March, followed by refreshments in the Hillgrove Hotel.
